I tried to make a new post of some recent non-fish (actually nude female art-deco, something totally new for me) inlay for the upcoming Miami show, but these images are not on my site, just at home- can we do that anymore?

I do have a photobucket- maybe I can do it from there?
Thanks.
Craig Lavin

Craig buddy we sure can upload directly from our puters.

It's under the "Browse" button located below the gold bar from a post window. I didn't see it either at first.

Craig yes you can upload pictures from your computer. Below the box that you type in you'll see a section 'Upload Attachment' , click the browse button, navigate on your computer to the file and double click it. This will add the file to the filename box. Click on the 'Add File' button. You'll see a text box labelled 'Attachments' with the file in it, click the 'Place inline' button and the code will appear in the post. If you wish you can then move the picture around in your post by highlighting it and simply dragging it to a new position. This all sound very complicated but believe me when you do it it's all very simple. The picture will then appear in a box like the one below. People can then click on this image and see a full size version of the picture.

Craig, these are the buttons you want to click to get immages from your computer onto the forum. You'll find this set of options below the text window (ie, look down the page more when you're typing a post)

Than you do this after you type again or where ever your currsor is (that's the line where the picture will be loaded)

Just click on the picture in my post to make it bigger (readable) than click the back button to bring you back to the thread.

Hope this helps.

"The image file you tried to attach is invalid."

I keep getting this with just a small .jpg file.

I don't even get past the upload.

I am wondering where i am going wrong, or if there is a file extension problem, or what. I have been saving the images with irfanview- does that mean anything?
Thanks for all the help.
Craig L

Some programs add stuff to make files proprietary. I have one like that; I hate it, and now don't use it. If you edit a picture, you can't open it with other apps. You have to export a file to get a clean one.

Also, are you using a Mac? If so, there used to be a problem with uploading from Mac's. Don't know if that's still a problem or not. If so, try Firefox, if you are not using it.

None of that may be helpful. Just the things that come to mind.

I was using that and I loved it. irfanview is the next best thing, but now I see maybe it's not...
I need to figure this out.
Thanks

Craig
