I studied painting in school and got very interested in Tibetan and Indian Buddhist painting and their idea of sacred geometry. Similarly, in Western art (influenced from Persia through Greece) is the golden mean and other ratios that harmonize with each other. An especially interesting book my roomate had lent me spoke about Architects building Cathedrals in terms of chords, the design of the building mimiced the ratios of the intervals between certain chords. This is my biggest influence in terms of design. There is still a whole world of room to wiggle (and interpret) with these ratios but they help me fine tune things like delicate curves and upper to lower bout ratios.

to consider how much pearl might CRACK in the process.. :o
Isn't that a cousin to the zoot fairy that Bob C was "turned" into a few months back?
We did never see an image of the zoot fairy did we????
Any inspiration there? [clap]

Honestly though on the level of what inspires me (to try to save this thread form becoming flushtoned itself.. ) I am lucky to be a visual art on a visual art. I can call on the seas, people, land, and the visions of others. I guess I am a lucky one. My visual "camera angle" is inspired by Grit Laskin obviously, as is my general mood of work I guess, and although I have done people in the past I really have no desire to do detailed scenes with humans as the characters too much, but it could happen.

Zoot fairy please??
