I just glued a bridge down on an old piece of junk Harmony with fish glue and I have a few spots around the bridge that need to be filled. I was thinking of filling with superglue then sanding and polishing like people drop fill nitro. I don't know what kind of finish this is(something evil and not much thinner than the plywood top). Anyway what happens if the CA glue runs into the dried fish glue?

Nothing will happen per se, but you'll be creating a mess for yourself to sand out an buff. If it has gaps around the bridge, then it wasn't reglued well anyway. Glues like fish glue, hide glue. PVA, have essentially no gap filling strength. Bridges should be removed, cleaned, and properly fit before gluing if you want them to hold.

I meant gaps where too much finish was removed around the bridge not gaps between the bridge and top. I couldn't get the finish to come off cleanly.

Frets.com has some tests you can do for types of finish. If the areas aren't big then a little super glue might work as a drop fill. It will be hard to make it look nice though. For an old beater like that clear fingernail polish might be the ticket. Show us a picture if you want more help.

Thanks Ken. I already tried the super glue, it looks good enough for this guitar. 70's Harmony plywood ladder braced dread with gouges and a small hole in the top and the paint wearing off the fingerboard. The bridge is holding, the action is lower and it may even sound less dead! So it turned out ok.
