The Nut Slotting Gauge, is, IMHO, a solution looking for a problem. The Relief Gauge--I use SM's older version of this, all the time, for setup work. Fender necks that have to be removed, to adjust-- I take two readings, under string tension, and without, pull the neck, and adjust relief with the gauge.
