Thanks for the pix Waddy!! It's always great to see process! Yes even mistakes!!

I don't think I see the advantage of this type of joint though. With this much end grain bonding I guess it would necessitate easy repair. What are the better points of this joint?

Now there is an idea. I could also make a new heel area for the neck, and, using a glue joint, still make it a continuous Spanish Heel.
