Just as a note on Lie-Nielson...I have not met a nicer group of people...

In college (2 years ago) I participated in a solar electric boat racing. In designing the hulls, I fell in love with cedar strippers, and decided to build my two hulls in the same manner: cedar and fiberglass...With one phone call, Lie- Nielson donated 2 planes and a spokeshave for my efforts on hull construction (several hundred dollars of equipment)...And they were the nicest pieces of equipment that I have used since....

I'd support them just because they care about quality in a society where quality often gets washed overboard during trans-Pacific transit...

Stephen

Well over the past 4 years A36 plate and A1018 bar low carbon commercial grade steel has increased nearly 30%. Alloy steel like A4140 and A4340 have increased nearly 40%. Then add transpiration increases it does not surprise me that LN pricing is going up.
