Here are some photos of Number 3. pizza

It took me about 4 months to complete.

EIRW Back & Sides,
WRC top,
Koa binding, end and head graft,
lacewood rear headstock and heel veneer
Tru-Oil finish on entire guitar

It sounds quite good to me. ...Loud and tonefull (is that a word?) bliss

Tru-Oil is pretty easy to use and I was pleased with the shine after I used micromesh on it. First, I used z-poxy to fill the pores and as a sealer. Then, I put numerous coats (~10-12) of Tru-Oil on. You can put on more than one coat a day with about 3 hours in between coats. After several days of curing, I started with either 3200 or 3600 grit and went to 4000, 6000, 8000, and 12000. I tried it wet, which worked out well. Word of caution.... Don't go below 3200 (don't ask me how I know). The finish is not deep, but that is probably better from a sound perspective. You can't beat the ease of application. It is very forgiving and no spray equipment is required. With micromesh it shines up very nicely.

I too built a guitar with WRC top and Hondo body, tru oil finish....I can tell you this is by far the LOUDEST guitar I've ever built!
