Has anyone ordered these cutters on ebay or is there a better source, this is a better price than Stewmac.

Hey Fred,

Check KBC Tools at 5080 O'Neil in Oldcastle, I've gotten some small cutters from them in the past.

Remember the biggest differences in pricing will be from Right hand cut (up cut) to left hand cut (down cut). You can find up cut end mills for about $4 each.

I'd like to know how many people bother with the down cut bits for cutting rosette channels or inlay work. I think I'll start a new thread on this one though.

I have ordered a set of these cutters from Aaron, he's in Hawaii. He lets you "mix and match" at whatever size you want.
The first one I used 3/32" for a saddle slot, cut erratic, chipped out badly at the upper sides of the slot. I used it on ebony, and then on some pau ferro. Same both times.
I'm using a new Dremel, so the bearings should not be an issue, I never had this problem using a Dremel before.

I emailed him and he sent me two replacement cutters, no charge, before I could wink.
I haven't tried the replacements, other things going, but he certainly aims to please.

Try Precisebits.com for terrific inlay and pocket cutting endmillls.

Thinking along the same lines as Todd, I've bought end mills from eckotoolsupplies. $3.75 is the cheapest I've found for up cut bits in 1/32" and he of course combines shipping. Quick to reply to questions too. If there is something specific you want (that is not listed) send him an eBay email asking if he has it.
