What a great time. I also finally met some people I've been talking to for close to 10 years, which was really great, and played some fantastic instruments. Thanks to David and Hesh for putting this together.

I also can't say enough about the graciousness of our hosts and the regulars at the Elks Lodge. Great bunch of guys all around. Here's Bob Connor, Bob C., and Bob Jr. with some of our new friends a little later in the evening. Yes, everyone is behind the bar as Dave (the tall guy and bartender) had been introducing us to a delicacy that he referred to as "black drinks".

Sorry about the photo quality, it's from my phone.

John this picture is hysterical!!!!!! laughing6-hehe laughing6-hehe laughing6-hehe

Locals such as David, Jim, and I have known for many years that Ann Arbor has a way of bringing all sorts of people together for great times. Jeesh.... I am starting to miss the place..........

That looks like a lot of fun, I'm sad I couldnt be there. I would have loved to meet all of you who have given me so much knowledge (though many of you probably dont know it) and given you a firm handshake and a friendly hello. Hopefully there will be another one soon enough, but this time just dont make it on a football saturday.

Although, the game was one of the best games that I have seen in a long time, and I am extremely happy that Michigan was able to pull it out in the end (sorry to all of you Wisconson fans). I know I banged my cowbell a little harder just for all of the OLFers out there.

Definitely a good time - for me this was the first time I've been in a place with more than one luthier. I must say that the interaction with everyone was great too. I brought my bandura and everyone was very interested and the advice from pros and amateurs flowed freely.

Can't wait till next time.

Thanks, Hesh and Jim, for posting the photos. And lots of thanks to David and everyone else who had a hand in putting this together. It was great to get together with you all... fun to meet some of you face-to-face for the first time, and good to see all of you who I already knew. Unfortunately, there were some I never got the chance to meet or talk with... Brock among them... the afternoon slipped by... ah, well, there's always next time. Till then, all the best to all of you!
