I've got a guitar I'm making with a maple fret board. I'll be finishing the guitar with an oil finish (Osmo PolyX, it's a hard wax oil finish.) I'm wondering if anyone has experience with a similar product for finishing the fret board. I'm not interested in a film finish for this, but also don't want to end up with something that looks terrible quickly because of dirt.

I seal my maple binding, end grafts, etc. with CA glue before any serious final sanding begins. This keeps the dark sawdust (if there is any) from embedding in the binding. Especially critical if I'm using figured maple binding as the end grain in the figured areas looks like h!!l if dirt or sawdust gets embedded in it. I do this with the exposed top edge of maple fretboard binding too to keep it from getting too dirty. I have not tried it on a full fretboard, but figure it could work the same way.
