Ken sent this through today, his latest guitar, and is was built at the same time as the Jumbo/GC I posted recently.
This one is a a Macassar Ebony/Redwood OM.
Same track as last one, no e.q. no effects.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

What wood is the center stripe in the neck and does it go all the way through?
