Hello all!
I wanted to post a short announcement to let everyone know that we are currently moving to a new and better server.
I am in the process of getting all the particulars in order. Right now I do not have a firm date, once I do I will post it.
I will need to "lock" the forum for the migration process, once we are in our new home, I will unlock it. Durning the lock out you will be able to
read but not post. After I unlock, everything returns to normal.

Also the OLF will be turning TWENTY YEARS OLD next month. Any ideas on how we should celebrate?
This topic probably deserves its own thread.

I wanted to take a moment and let everyone know that the OLF has an amazing affiliate deal with Stewmac, they have been a life line!
I will be posting a new banner ad at the top of the page soon, if you could all book mark it and use it as your main access to stewmac that would
help me with the forum costs immensely!
I don't often ask for donations for the forum, we get by, however by using the Stewmac link, it will ease the finical cost significantly!
If you do feel compelled to donate, my PayPal is lance@luthiersforum.com

Please consider doing this as it will help so much!
Here is the link
https://stewmac.sjv.io/75L9ry

URL HAS BEEN UPDATED 11/15/23. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR LINK :-)

One last thing, I rarely check the DM here. please email me directly with questions. I will respond asap!

Thanks so much!
Lance

Congrats Lance 20 years is a huge achievement and countless instruments have been crafted/born out of the OLF as well.

Not to mention many businesses that were spawned here representing tens of millions of dollars of Lutherie commerce.

Some of us substantially changed our lives because of the OLF too and I know I'm one of them. Nice to have found something I love to do before I can't do it anymore and I credit the OLF and You for much of this.

Sounds like the OLF version 2.0 will be even more exciting and take us even further into being able to exchange ideas and information in pursuit of....... tone.

Lance thank You for the OLF and for putting up with us.

Wow! 20 years. Thanks for keeping it going all these years. I'm proud to say that I've been here over 18 of those years. I'm still waiting to have an original idea about building guitars. Everything came from other people.:>)

Awesome news, Lance!

Question - a few of us donate monthly via Patreon. Should we not be doing that anymore and use Paypal instead?

Thanks Lance. I'm with Hesh about this place having been a tremendous help in building my business after I retired from the day job.

Once again, thanks to all of you guys and gals, and especially to Lance.

Thank you Lance -

perhaps to celebrate we can have a custom build off - the requirement being that 20 be inlaid on the guitar ?
