David Collins has offered to host the next OLF gathering at his very cool shop in Ann Arbor, Michigan Saturday, September 27th at noon. Everyone that can make it is invited and this time we will have a very special visit from Bob Connor who is driving from Australia to attend..... :D

We wanted to provide everyone with as much notice as possible since these have been very popular events. Also, the time is subject to change in as much as we want to coordinate the start time so as to not place OLFers in the heavy football traffic that day (110,000 football fans - game is sold out as always) . The University of Michigan is playing the cheese....... heads in Ann Arbor. So you Wisconsin members have an excuse to attend...... :D

Of course we will announce more in the coming months but again we wanted to provide everyone with lots of notice.

If you plan on attending please let us know in this thread so we can begin to get a head count?

Many thanks!

Cool thats 11 so far and I am sure that we can probably add Max, JJ, Joe White, Mark Swanson, Lance, and more. It should be very well attended.

Please continue to RSVP here for planning purposes?

Many thanks folks.

Lars really? You would attend coming from Sweden? That would be great and we already have Bob coming from Australia so this may be an international event.

I am no longer in Ann Arbor since I just moved several weeks ago so lets see if anyone attending could put you up.

Wow, great timing. I'll be in the Jackson area in late September for my annual salmon fishing trip up north with my Dad and brother. Perhaps you guys would allow a Virginian in, at least for a little while? :D

This may sound overkill, but I may start looking around at reserving a hall in the area. I love to host a gathering at my shop and the more the merrier, but I think once we pass the 12-15 mark it may be getting a bit cramped. I could probably think of another 8-10 builders (who aren't even on the forum) within a 30 mile radius of here that would love to come if word gets out.

We'll have to take roll call periodically and get a rough idea how many will likely show. I have a few resources I could tap, hopefully without adding a significant cost to the event. I like to keep it casual as possible, but we'll have to find some way to accommodate if the numbers keep growing. Sounds like a good time though.

David my friend U of M stadium is taken that day but I am sure that we can find someplace else.

It might be fun too to contact some of our sponsors and solicit prizes for a raffle.

Jim buddy Virginians are most certainly very welcome and we would love to meet you!

Lars these things are typically 4-6 hours on one day.

Very cool!!! [:Y:]

As we now are over 20 because we know people who are coming who are not OLFers we will probably need to get a hall in the area.

Please keep the RSVPs coming because its very helpful to David and I.
