I'm surprised no one mentioned Corel Draw. You can get a free trial version of it that will allow you to draw any/all templates and curves you want, to size, with superb accuracy. I use it all the time.

 

I'm really happy to see this thread, because I'm just starting to think about my first radius dish.

No disrespect to R.M. Mottola (I love his site), but this tool only calculates the height at the midpoint of the chord, which I found interesting but less then what I was looking for.  I'm sure there's something else out there that will also give you points in between, but I eventually got bored looking and just did the math/wrote the program.

Actually, I think the math is the same and it seems to give the points in between if you just shorten the value of "l".  If you think about it, moving 1 inch to either side of the center is the same as shortening the length of the chord, moving it up (decreasing the displacement) and rotating it.  If you continue this process, you eventually reach l=0 which will give displacement=0. 

Does anyone here have experiencewith the type of radius dish described in this link?

It seems like an easy (and relatively dust free) method, but I can imagine problems.
