Great Time! It's always fun putzing around with heavy machinery! :D :lol: :lol: :lol:

Quitting smoking EASY? I was a 4 1/2 pack a day man, it was about as enjoyable as electroshock therapy! Which reminds me, I have another appointment next week! :lol:

Thanks, Hesh! I appreciate the photo essay, and it sure looks like it was a blast.

I don't envy the black ice drive - that had to be the very worst driving condition. Glad you made it safely.

Hesh,

I am just home from Bob’s. Glad you and Joe made it home safely as all of us were worried.

Thanks for posting all the great pictures from yesterdays event. Hesh I can not begin to thank you enough for the Heshtone SJ. I think I have logged about 5 hours playing time on it so far and probably a couple more to come this evening. I really love this guitar.

So what do I love about it you all ask?

1) It sounds so sweet
2) This guitar has a dead flat response through each string all the way up the fretboard no one tone or harmonic jumps out or overpowers another;
3) It responds beautifully to a light touch and shows no sign of breaking up when played/strummed aggressively;
4) Phenomenal projection;
5) Excellent set-up, fretwork and playability. There are a few Chet Atkins numbers I do as a test on any guitar I try and if I can play them well it tells me the guitar is very well set-up and playable. This guitar is so easy to play;
6) The pictures Hesh posted of this guitar recently do not do it justice. The fit and finish of every aspect of this guitar is flawless.
7) The finish has such a beautiful chatoyance. Joe really has his chops down. The clarity is so good that when the light hits it, it doesn’t diffract as most finishes do. A lot of folks have gone to oiled necks because they don’t like the stickiness of nitro finished necks. Joe’s Poly finish is slick as can be.

Hesh I believe that you have arrived as a builder in that you truly build a world class guitar. This is amongst the finest of guitars that I have ever played and IT’S MINE!!! Thank you my friend…you know I will cherish it for all time.

Bob/Rosie…what can I say about the best hosts I know. I always so enjoy visiting with you folks and am so glad to hear that I will soon have my very own bedroom at yours. Neutral colours please. All kidding aside I had an absolute blast. Bob’s new shop is a wonderful venue for hosting such an event…a comfortable 68 degrees F and 45% RH, great lighting to work….I could go on an on. Bob and sons have built a world class tonewood supply business and good on them!

JJ it was great hooking up with you bro and thanks for bringing your two in progress electrics. Both of them will be killer guitars.

Rich Altieri thank you for the good laughs and entertaining us with your fine playing and singing. Rich does a rendition of Rocky Raccoon which is the best I have ever heard.

I will look through my stash of pics later and see if I have any to add to the great collection posted by Hesh.

Jealousy, reigns supreme! :o [headinwall] It sounds, and looks, like it was a wonderful time. Some day, maybe I'll do that drive. It can't be much more for me than it was for Hesh & Joe. It is great to see guys having a good time together, with guitars, that is! :D

Zach, my having BRW status only means I talk to much. Not as much as Hesh does mind you but enough :D

I just love what you said there, it's so true most of the time.

Just arrived back home in Indiana after 8.5 hours! The 200 miles from Buffalo to Cleveland was frought with 40 MPH winds and blowing snow off of Lake Erie...white out city for the 1st four hours! The rest of the journey was a breeze at 0*F. 950 mile round trip for me.

Once again, my 3rd trip to Zoot City in a year was a blast as usual.

Many thanks to Bob & Rosie...they are as close to me as my family and just the best folks anyone could ever ask for. Thanks again for the 3 days of warmth and familial hospitality. Congratulations on the Grand Opening of the new RC & Sons Tonewoods!

In spite of the Zoot Cave the highlight of the visit was the gifting of Hesh's fine SJ to Anthony. Anthony's description is spot on! The guitar is spectacular in every respect and AZ's playing will certainly do it proud...not bad for an Archie-Boy. And only one so skilled could have pulled off the moustache binding bending for me as you did...thanks, Bro!

Michael Payne., Steve Kinnaird., Rod True., and Alain Deforges..."you've got wood"! It should be traveling to you this week...And they were picked it out personally and even include some personalized messages! Enjoy!

Joe White...Your finish is the best I have ever seen...ever!!! Very thin, crystal clear and lucious. I know where my 2 electrics are going this month. The way things are looking, I may have a bit of a wait in line.

Rich...once again, "Rocky Racoon" brought down the house. Thanks for the set! And best wishes to the fine lads who accompanied you.

And now...Good Night...I'm exhausted!

Again, I'm honored. But I dont think I misspelled magic. I am a horrible speller though. Being an engineer, I cant spell without spellcheck, and lost the ability to do simple math without a calculator.

Bob, you killing me with the pics. When the Narra going up?

Rodney...The word is spelled ...MAGIC...not majic. You must have been in the same spelling class as Michael P. :D

That's right Waddy, I'm dyslexic :lol:

I realized I didn't check my spelling, I'm a horrible speller and rely heavily on spell check every day with the day job. I know what I want to say, just don't ask me to spell it property.

Oh boy! Will my wife and kids be allowed to see it :lol: :lol: :lol:

By the way JJ, Mackenna loves seeing your grumpy little puppy when she sits and watches me surf the forum :D

this message was spell checked prior to posting, otherwise there would have been way to many mistakes. And if you can read this, you're driving to close.

Rodney...

Only if the Zootman sends you Alain's tops by mistake, anyone could read your message. Just take a peek first to be sure! :o

Mackenna has good taste...Give her a big hug from Uncle JJ!

Ha! Why am I not surprised? That's why I bought two sets. I thought that volubility would get the best of you all...

Well guys, what can I say? I am so bummed I couldn't make it out this time... I sure wish I could have seen Rich sing again...and have a few cold ones with my brothers...and a few significant Single Malts... But in the end, it's all about guitars and the experiences we live building them.

I sure wish I could have tried all those beautiful guitars! Hesh's guitars were amazing about two years ago, so I can only imagine how awesome they must be by now! I can't wait to make my way over to TO and try it out!
