Cigar humidors are plain exposed wood on the inside. Yes, they are different animals. And I know so little compared to the rest of you all. But sealing the inside of a guitar does not make intuitive sense to me. So ya wanna control humidity? When then? Is the humidity in your shop the right %? Should that be the right time? Or, should one put the instrument in a humidity controlled environment to stabilize before applying the finish and thus "seal" the humidity in?

Wood needs to breathe. If you want to "enhance" the woods appearance (on the inside), use some kind of solvent to bring the wood's natural oils to the surface (D-Alcohol, etc.). Or just leave it be.

Mike (who knows little to nothing, but LOVES the smell of the inside of a unsealed guitar)
