Hi gang, here's the latest.......

a hollow bodied doublecut.

the back & neck are mahogany from the bar counter of a power station social club.
fretboard is EI Rosewood
top is maple
pups are GFS Fat Pats split with push pull pots
the bridge has a piezo under the bone saddle which is held in a rosewood bridge which was cut from the leg of a slavaged coffee table!

Martin!!!! There is a major problem with the neck. Send this to me immediately. It shouldn't take me more than a year or 50 to rectify the problem :D

Very nice

very cool! I really like it. I always like the tail piece and archtop type bridge on electrics. How thick is the body? and how much does it weigh?

Nice, very nice, but what makes any part of this acoustic? Looks like an electric guitar to me. No standard tone wood top (I just don't "buy" maple as an acoustic guitar top), no soundhole, clearly electric guitar-style pickups (I could see if it was predominately piezo), and what appears to be a nut-bowl style of body construction with no bent sides. I'd call this either a hollow or semi-hollow body electric guitar and be proud of it for being that, but I think it's a stretch to call it an acoustic-electric.

I think it's from the AT type bridge and tailpiece I asked the same question!

Very nice work Martin !! Image Image Image Image
Is it hollow? I don't see any holes!

OK, OK, its a hollow bodied electric with a 4mm thick maple top and an acoustic saddle with a piezo in it.

sorry for any offence caused by mentioning the A word without a soundhole or soft wood top....

still,

I like it!!!

It is hollow, drilled out with a forstner bit, and no, the sides aren't bent.

hopefully I'll get the last of the fine tuning of the electronics done today.

(and weigh it for Jonas!!)
