High all, Do jazz bass pickups use springs so that they are height adjustable? I figure the screws that hold them in would go through the springs but can't figure out how to get everything to slot into place when installing them. Thanks for any advice STefan |

A block of stiff foam under the pickup is the traditional method. |

Foam all the way, I use the black self adhesive foam used to seal windows and air conditioners a large roll is about $5.00 Its great for lining a pickup ring on an arch top guitar to stabilize loose and vibrating pickups. Invisible when done right. Best, Evan |
