My dad has used them for shelf supports for small paper trey kind of cabinets, you just cut your blades to length, make a saw kerf the width of you blade and tap it in teeth first.

If 10 TPI or more, stack 10 or so pieces with teeth in alternating directions, tape ends & you'll have one of the nicest rasps you can get!

I have not tried this yet but will as soon as I pull 1/2 6tpi off my Grizzly , resharpen a bit and build a frame saw.
