I have the 40 tooth version, and it works great.
Anybody tried the 60 tooth? I think I'll get one just to try it out.

What size are you talking about?

What Grumpy said. I haven't seen more than 40 teeth in the 7-1/4" size. The larger diameter blades take a bigger kerf.

When all else fails, clean the shop.

They make it in the 7 1/4" thin kerf. I had never seen it before but snagged one at Home Depot a week ago. I still haven't tried it.

A 60 tooth 7-1/4" blade? Must to find!

Part number, gimme the part number....

If it's consistent with Freud's numbering system, it would be D0760. But Google can't find it, nor can it find a supplier for 60 tooth 7-1/4" freud diablo.

Sure it isn't the 8-1/2" blade?

I couldn't find it on the Freud site either.

I'm guessing it has to be the 8 1/2" finishing blade.

I picked one up on Saturday, and am hoping to give it a try tonight. I was a bit shocked at the $20 price, as I used to be able to get the 40 tooth version for less than half that a few years ago. Even those are quite a bit more now.

It's the ultra thin kerf. Pay more for less now.

More teeth = more carbide = higher cost + more grinding + more brazing = longer manufacturing time = higher cost.

The 40 tooth Diablo always cost nearly twice more than the 24 tooth blade.... that's why the 24 is my main workhorse and the 40 tooth blade gets the sweet jobs <g>

I picked one up today at the HD. I'm tapering some fingerboards this weekend, so we'll see how it works on ebony. Should be a pretty good test.

I'll have to take a run down to Bellingham HD to pick up one of those 60's and maybe a couple of 40's. I can't find the 40's round here for any less than $30.

Mario, would you be interested in one of the 60 tooth if I go down to the US and pick one up?
