Thanks Todd - a lot of the credit needs to go to Andrew Mowry, a fine maker of mandolins, who gave me some great guidance on this. I'm using it on a current project & it's very helpful.

Thanks to Dave for sharing this and for the heads-up, Todd. I have been interested in this type of device for some time, but couldn't countenance ever coming up with the nearly $400.00 to buy one.
