Indian rosewood back/sides, Bearclaw SITKA, Colin, with beaucoups pearl.

Steve, that is downright purdy...nice work partner! Your guitars always look terrific though. Be sure to show us more pictures when you get it strung up!

OK, my favourite bit is the purple bridge, interesting choice that. Oh and I like the white tiles as well.

It's a Kinnaird, of course it's going to be a great guitar, goes with the territory! Now is it Grizzly or Black bear?

Colin, from the degree of markings, I would guess that this top is the product of a Grizzly. Black Bear Sitka is, for one thing, much rarer as well as being less dramatic.

Craig, you know you have another Collabo project coming your way, right? Now as for your question--it's a good one. I dunno where that "eye candy gene" came from. However, right beside my desk is my maternal grandfather's guitar, which is fairly ornate. Maybe we come by it from Mom's side....

Hey bro, glad you made it home. Thanks for the positive stroke, and I'm with you about the "tried 'n true". There's just something about an EIR box that I find visually satisfying. Of course, they don't sound too shabby, either.

Dave, I'm glad you chimed in, and I appreciate the way you master your English reserve. By the way, don't you have a Sitka top lying around the shop begging to be used? Mail it to Colin, and see what he says.... :roll:
