Post subject:  Carob for back/sides?

Has anybody used, or seen/heard of carob being used for back and sides. I've got some with beautiful colors, and was wondering if it could be used in a guitar.

It would be my guess that this is an excellent tonewood since it is so closely related to olivewood. Looking over the details of this wood, I doubt that you will find many that have built guitars with it because of it's expense.

I would love to see and hear one!

Isn't carob a chocolate substitute? I don't know what it would sound like but the guitar should taste great, yum, yum I love chocolate!!! :D

Interesting stuff!
I imagine it will darken with age?

I'm always interested in uncommonly used woods for guitar building.
