Once again we will be offering completely voluntary OLF member subscriber program (the site is free and always will be, this is simply a program we offer as a way to help us financially support the community, let us continue to add additional features, conduct advertising, etc. and in exchange you get a box of goodies.) :)

We apologize that this one is a little late coming out of the shoots, but there are several significant changes for 2008 and we have had to rethink this offering on multiple fronts – most notably ASIA has elected not to renew our previous arrangement. But here is what we have come up with for 2008. We are excited about this stuff and we think you will be as well.

For $125 + 10.00 shipping you get:

An EMBROIDERED OLF Versatile Attaché Bag (great for storing guitar books, articles, catalogs etc.) - the bag is black with the OLF logo in grey stitching.

Attachment:
styleimage.jpg

A Subscription to The Fretboard Journal. We offered this last year as part of our subscription package and frankly I am blown away by the quality of content and the wonderful design of this magazine. They are really doing a great job, and I consider this to be a must have.

One set of D'Addario EXP Classical or EXP Acoustic strings, lights only.

OLF Sponsor Coupons. Each year our sponsors come up with a goodie bag full of savings opportunities for members. Generally these range from discounts, free “extras” for paid OLF subscribers, free shipping, and lots of other great deals. This year is no exception!

But Wait…. There’s More…. [:Y:]

If you act quickly….
We have a few shirts left over from past years (a few of the black ones in the larger sizes, and some of the maroon ones from last year). We will include a shirt on a first come first serve basis until they are gone. (Please understand if your size is not available).

We also have a small stash of coffee cups from last year. We will put one of these in every order (again, first come first serve) until they are gone.

The Fine Print

The order for the bags was placed yesterday, and the supplier is telling us that they will be ready to ship in “about” two weeks. We will keep you posted on this. Once they arrive at my house they will need to be assembled and mailed, (Theresas Job! ) So for safety sake I think you should expect that the first of these will be mailed in about a month. We will deliver all of the goods at that time (coupons too). Everything will be packed inside your Attaché Bag and mailed out USPS Priority or UPS (Shipping will be an additional 10.00) Internationl shipping will be the actual cost. We can square up on that after the boxs are shipped.

Also, in the past we always over order and have a pile of left over merchandise, so this year we are going to sell these subscription programs until the bags run out. Once they are gone they will no longer be included in the 2008 subscription program. We will try to order enough but the bags are expensive, this is yet one more reason to order quickly if you want in on this deal.

If you are interested in this program simply pay pal $125 + 10.00 shipping to lance@luthiersforum.com. That is our preferred method of payment. If you really insist on paying with a check please contact me at Lance@kragenbrinkguitars.com and we will get it worked out (but this makes our record keeping harder).

Important
PLEASE PUT "2008 OLF SUBSCRIPTION" in the PAYPAL subject line and select "GOODS" in the what for section. This makes shipping SO much easier. If you dont do this you risk getting lost in the Paypal accout and this could delay the delivery of your goodie bag ;)

Thank you all again for your continued support of the community

Lance & Brock

Heh, can I dissent? I'm sure to resubscribe - I want to do all I can to help this operation. And I love the subscription to Fretboard Journal.

But I get a d&%$ed attache for every conference I go to, and I'm buried under them. I'd much rather pay my share of what it costs to float the boat, and leave out the "stuff". At this point, it's just something to throw in a closet.

Something else to consider even if you are not interested in the man bag...... :D Not that is anything wrong with that mind you......

The coupons from sponsors are an excellent incentive. Both in 2007 and 2006 the discounts that I received from our very fine sponsors with the coupons more than paid for the OLF subscription price. In fact - subscribing to the OLF saved me money on an annualized basis. It also encourages us to consider our OLF sponsors first when engaging in WAS. A win/win for all.

Besides I believe that you can write off the cost of an OLF subscription as a business expense if you are in this as a business.

IN [:Y:]

Could I get a mug instead of the man bag? This is my first year, so I dont have a mug yet and that would be much more useful to me.

Large shirt if still available. XL if they run small.

Lance, looks like you came up with a great package. Payment is on the way.

As to the "man purse" :o :) , I carry one to and from work everyday  . I just don't have enough pockets for my phone, mp3 player, usb headphones, chargers, smokes, snacks, etc. Besides, unlike the common belief, some feds actually work :o and do carry work home. I think the logo will get attention not only for the forum but might also aid me in passing out a few business cards [:Y:] . Heck, I don't let my wife go to the farmers market without her OLF hat. 8-)

Someday I'll learn to follow instructions. :( I put in "OLF SUBSCRIPTION" instead of "2008 OLF SUBSCRIPTION" in the paypal subject line. I hope that doesn't mess things up too much
