Right. A question for the European folks: what's your favourite case, and where do you buy it from? Right now, I've only got gig bags for my acoustics, and the only hardcased electrics are in an old SKB/Fender strat case and a slapped up plywood coffin-case I made for a baritone guitar that needed to travel on a plane. Ameritage, etc. are all good and well, but shipping is completely prohibitive. |

Either the ProII or the new Artist cases. I have used Kinsman cases for my OMs and I have a Calton case for each size of instrument I make, and if I'm going to fly with one it goes in that. That said I'd be happy just to use Hiscox. I get mine from Roy Sommerfield at Guitarplans, personal service and always helpful. Colin |

I use both Hiscox and Calton too, but I always recommend Calton if you are going to travel as a working musician with the instrument. The padding inside of the cases are custom made for my guitar shapes, and they are extremely well made. These are made in the UK, get in touch with Keith (I'll PM the email address). Shipping from the UK to here is not too bad, I bet shipping to the Netherlands would not be too outrageous either (at least not compared to the trans Atlantic alternative). |

I had a Parker Fly Deluxe that came with a Hiscox case and I was very impressed with the case in all respects. Although I have not owned a Carlton yet so far the Hiscox was the most robust, and still the lightest weight case that I have ever used. |
