Hey everyone,

This is an Australian Tonewoods, all Tasmanian Blackwood Concert Uke kit i have just finished. It was made to the Scott Antes plan and has a spanish heel.

The finish is two coats of diluted hard shellac just to seal the instrument. I run out of time to do the finsh properly. The kit arrived the 18th Feb and i new then it was going to be tight to be able to finish it.

It is a present for my son's 30th birthday today. Hmmm, makes me feel old.

The build has been a great experience.

Thanks for looking

Cheers

Alan

Alan.
Can you choose a set from there, or do you just cop what you get?

I'm working on the Stew-Mac soprano kit at the moment, which comes with bent sides, pre-carved neck & slotted fretboard. But I was planning on one of those sets next up.

You've done a nice job of that uke. [clap]

Cheers Hip.

Thank you Mr Francis for your encouragement. My elbows are so very sore from all that hand sanding so i guess i'm feeling a bit old. Cheers Tony!

Thanks Waddy for your comments.

Hip, if you email Tim at Australian Tonewoods i'm sure he will be very helpful. My dealings with Tim have been excellent and his wood is first class IMO. I didn't get to choose my sets but very happy with what was supplied in the kit. My kit was medium figure and you can order high and low figure also.

Cheers
