Not to be confused with Brazing Saddles... :P

Is anyone here repairing (brazing) their own bandsaw blades or making their own from roll stock? I'm wondering how its gone for you and what your source of silver brazing rod might be. It's my understanding that silver solder doesn't have a high enough silver content and melts at too low of a temp.

Thanks in advance--

I don't weld my own blades from new stock. My attempts at repair have been a complete waste of time. Unless a blade fails prematurely at the weld, by the time it does crack or break, the entire blade is probably work hardened to the point where it will fail again in very short order.
