| Post subject: | Truss rods anybody? |
Hi folks, just wondering if i could get some advice regarding truss rods? I'm currently building an OM and a les paul style set net electric with adjustment from the peghead. The problem is, I'm not really sure how long a length the rod should be. The body joint of the set neck is at the 16th fret (22 fret guitar), and most truss rods from LMI,Stew-mac,etc. seem too be to long...17-18 inches overall length! Extending past the body joint... Sorry about the novice question! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a whole bunch! scott |

The truss rod on the LP extends down into the tenon. The long one works fine. |
