Need to know how many side spars (keep rim from splitting) and their placement. My kit only included enough material for 4 (but I can make some more). Maybe use the pic below to reference locations?

BTW, if they are not called side spars, then what are they called?

I usually put in six per side. I start by locating two, a couple of inches way from the lowest point of the waist, put one more half way from the heel block to the first one. Then arrange three more, evenly around the lower bout.
Placement isn't critical.
