Hi Guys,
A little interesting that this little truss cover got done on Good Friday, but the new owner being a worship leader was very happy about that! Sorry for the poor image quality, I was trying to get the gold pearl to shine like it's set up to do- extremely bright Vs. the rest of the piece.

Also if you were involved with thinking the blacking out of the neck for the Kinnaird-Cefalu Lavin guitar was a good idea or not then here it is- Looks good to me..

Thanks as always for looking, more inlay soon! It's been really crankin' down here, and with Miami coming up it's just that much more exciting. It's amazing how much activity being an inlayer has generated. wow7-eyes

That's incredible Craig.... and the black necks looks cool too. It really helps to focus your eyes on the b&w ebony. Sort of vintage-y too.

Very striking and delicate. How will you attach it?

Yes, it still needs the screw hole(s) put in. I needed some more specs first from the owner since this is a "from scratch" piece. I want to put a finish over it as well to make it shine a bit more, if that's possible..
Thanks!

More very soon..

That is an amazing looking guitar. after seeing the black neck, the guitar wouldn't look rite with anything else.

It almost seems a shame to drill holes in that truss rod cover.

Beautiful...

Absolutely gorgeous! Might it not be possible to use a small rare earth magnet to keep the cover in place? I'd say that drilling screw holes would be very near a travesty. eek

Don't forget about the eraser stuff to hold it in, per the thread on gold screws.

Very nice! I agree with the rare earth magnet idea. It would be a shame to put a hole in the truss rod cover. I have epoxied magnets here and there over the last year or so and have had no problems with them.
