Scroll down at this site to see Dr. Larson's unique guitar: http://www.cbc.ca/quirks/archives/07-08/mar22.html "Start with chunks of wood salvaged from windfall trees. Add a tiny fish fossil, pieces of stone, shells of turtles and mussels, bits of ivory and ancient cedar — even mink penis bones — and what have you got? It's a made-in-Guelph guitar, one that its maker hopes will play music and tell tales." |

Thats awesome!! I love these quirky guitar models.... just terrific - I saw another post about this yesterday and got it confused with another story... I didnt see much discussion about the "Canada Guitar" either - but again another guitar built in Canada from historic, and in one case... quite sacred, materials! http://www.cbc.ca/documentaries/canadianguitar.html Seems like theres alot of this type of thing happening up here in Canada... that makes me pleased to be part of this great nation!! Cheers Charlie |
