Post subject: | Wood supplier? Who do you use? |
Greetings all, I have been trying to find some unique wood lately, and I have been having a difficult time locating a good source (other than the usual suspects like lmii etc). I was wondering if any of you might want to share some of your sources? Currently looking for a slab of Macassar ebony for a solid body carved top, but most of the stuff I find is either too short, or not wide enough....Same for Cocobolo... Here is the look I am going after.... |

Try Grant Goltz. He has some beautiful cocobolo as well as tons of other exotics. The Zoot man also has some gorgeous stuff. Vince |

Try RCTonewoods, link at the top of every page in the sponsor section. If he doesn't have it, he can usually find/get it. |

anexotichardwood.com Thats the web address for Tropical Exotic Harwoods of Latin America, LLC. He's in Carlsbad, CA just North of San Diego. I stop in and pick up stuff every time I'm there, but he really does have a LOT of cocobolo. Cheap on some stuff, more expensive on others. Mitch is always a good source to try out if you've exhausted the sponsors. Tip: Even if you don't see it on a sponsors website, give them a call...they might have it and just haven't had time to update the web. -j. |

Try any of the sponsors listed at the top of the page. Most of these guys have a much larger selection than what you see on their web page. Don't be afraid to call. |
