On a business trip to KC, I got the chance to catch Dan Crary at the Mtn Music Shoppe in Shawnee, KS. Wow! His current tour is a solo show called 'Twang'. He presents a history of the steel string guitar and some of the styles that the kings of the guitar have played. He played the first half of the show on a Taylor 6 string dred with cutout and the second on a 12 string Taylor. The Mtn Music Shoppe's parlor seemed to hold about 50 people, and I was sitting 6 feet from Dan. If any of you get a chance to catch his show, do yourself a favor and make room in your schedule.

I met the store keeper and member of OLF, Andrew. He showed me around the store and to the storage area for all their side and back sets. Watch out, they have a great selection of ziricote, but they have a little less snakewood.
