Anybody knows where to source 8" tablesaw blades with a 1/2" arbor hole? I remember seeing them sold online a few years ago but I can't seem to find them now.

Laurent, can't help directly but CMT makes reduction bushings in various sizes, only seems like a 30mm to 1/2" x 2mm, I use their 30mm to 16mm thin kerf ones on my saw and they work fine (I use the superb CMT thin kerf blades). If you can find a source of reduction bushings then it opens up the possibilities of getting a far greater variety of blades.

If this would solve your problem, I'd be happy to get some and mail them over to you.

Colin and Todd thanks much for the suggestions. I'm using a reducer now but was hoping to find new blades for my '50s 8" Craftsman. I will contact Forrest and see if they can sell me a couple of 8" thin kerf blades.

Freud makes those bushings and they don't have to be thinned to work with freud blade stabilizers. And also harbor freight actually sells (or at least *did*) a variety pack of bushings and there are one or two 1/2 to 5/8 conversion bushing(s) in the pack. The HF bushings seem just as good as the freud. I have both. And of course, I have a 1940's 8" table saw with 1/2" arbor. The saw is haunted, so I need another bushing shaped like Casper.
