I just got my first batch of tops from Shane and they are great!! good and stiff, musical, silky, with the grain I was after. Great service and price too. Doesn't get any better than this!

Thanks, Shane! [clap]

Good to hear, thanks Pat! I was looking at Shanes goodies earlier and planning how I was going to spend my tax refund & rebate!

Shane, expect an order from me as soon as the IRS puts the money in my account [:Y:]

Cheers,
Dave F.

Funny you should say that Dave. My tax dollars went north too. My box of goodies should be here next week. Shhhh, no one tell Sweetie please. I was bad. Between Uncle Bob and Shane, I've been really bad. And the sofa just sucks. I hate fight for space with the cats. I always lose.

Ahhhh! Tax Time!....... bliss

Only kidding! Pat I am glad the wood suits you well and that it arrived safely. Just so you know John Greven has a good bunch from the same tree and has said good things about their acoustic properties. These are the last (only about 200 sets left) from the tree I fell late last fall. I have four 40 foot logs in the yard that I have a bunch of guys coming over on the weekend for a spring fling that includes splitting these into billets. With pins in my hand I am not allowed to jar it by swinging the hammer so my buddies have relegated me to layout and tractor operation to move the wood to storage areas Eat Drink . I can still run the resaw though, I just cut some maple binding blanks yesterday and I didn't even cut myself....... [:Y:]

I will post pics of the work we get done.

Thanks again everyone for your continued support and for those waiting for the high grade sets I am really hoping to be able to send good news after this weekend....

Shane,

Hope that "finner" is doing well!

So, tell us what you got in special reserve! Got $$ burning a hole in my pocket. Anything REALLY old?

Lillian,

Apparently, you have discovered, "It is easier to apologize than
to ask permission."

Ahh, yeah Tom, I have. I haven't had to fight with the cats in a while, but...... I think it will be worth it to stash some of Shane's Lutz away. This will be the first good quality top I've bought. I'm so looking forward to seeing it.

If I had my way I would alternate between buying tops and bs sets each month as a hedge against inflation. idunno For whatever reason that I can't fathom, Sweetie doesn't see it the same way I do. Go figure.

Shane's stuff is ALWAYS the best available and he is one class act to deal with too.

Now for all of you Americans who are taking your economic stimulus checks and spending them outside the US economy - GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!! :D We all might as well be just as efficient as our government...... Sorry - that had political overtones......
