Hi, anyone know much about the guitar mentioned above?
I have one in my workshop now, I can barely find mention of it in any books or websites.
Its a beaut tho, sounds fantastic. Koa back and sides, spruce top i think, has 1833-1983 branded inside. serial number 428439.
I tried a while ago to join the umgf but i cant seem to get anything rolling with them still...

any advice on either is gratefully recieved,
cheers

Curtis--

The UMGF is in a read only state for a couple of days as they are switching out the software that powers the site -- try again after today. Here is a link to the faq on how to join -- its the tenth thread down:

The serial number information can be found here: (amongst other places)
Looks like this one was built in 1980.

You can also call the Martin Company. They will be happy to provide you with information through their customer support department. That guitar is a beaut!!

I worked on a local D35 with the same dates. It is a 150 year anniversary of Martin in business and it's possibly an anniversary edition. Seems like the one I worked on was pretty standard. How about a picture or two? TIA

conflicting Info or what :? Made in 1980, 1833-1983 label :? So martin was putting out 150 year anniversary guitars 3 years prior to the actual date?
