Todd, my old teacher, Rich Severson, presents his Guitar College guitar curriculum at that show. He's always made comments about how awesome the show is. If you're able to, I would check it out.

Predominately electrics and vintage electric and amps. Went last year for a day and it was fun. There are a few acoustic builders, none I can recall at the moment. There are a bunch of music stores represented and they like to pull out all their stock to display at the show. Gibson had a big trailer you could go in a sit and play their acoustic line last year. Of course there is a website. Outside you'll find some rocking stage venues, and it seems there were a few inside, but seperated from the main floor by walls of course. The high dollar tour of vintage collectibles was under close scrutiny, only so many allowed in a glass displayed area, guards in complete control. The rest of the show is as you'd expect, vendors in booths with everything from bone pins, a guy in Missouri turning his own brand, a builder from Brazil who had some great sets of chocolate Brazilian Rosewood $800 a set. And String vendors, gosh, Dean Markley was there and giving away little magnet lights that blink away and stick on your refrigerator....... It's something anyone who likes guitars would enjoy. I'm not sure it's the best show for acoustics, it's pretty loud around there and no privacy, except in the Gibson trailer on the floor....

The past few years, the show has Sucked!!!!!! Not like when they were at Fair Park with twice the space. Mostly, hyped up crap, with the vintage OVERPRICED Fenders and such. Now and then, the VERY occasional deal on an amp or something. Otherwise a waste of time, unless you want an overpriced beer and then pay more to listen to some whatever music.

Just my .02cents worth and I've been to the last 15 plus years or more.
Mike
