He is everywhere! I had Joe finish two of my guitars. Here are some pictures he took.
That's not the whole truth. I had Joe refinish 2 guitars for me. I just was not happy with my efforts. Joe stripped and refinished these guitars for me.

Wow!! Joe's work certainly speaks for itself. Steve it sure helps that you provided an outstanding canvass for Joe to do his work.

Holy Moly, those are beautiful! I think you're right, Ken, Joe has definitely found his calling. We should all be glad he heard the call, and answered. His work is phenomenal.

They were at my house yesterday, but no one was home to receive them.
I'll get them today. I can't wait!

did you have him do the refinish with the bridge on? Just curious. Good work by the way to the builder and finisher.

Do you have any idea how thick the finish is on the top Steve? Looks nice!

Terry my friend on the guitar that Joe White did for me the finish was around .004" thick under the fret board extension and thinner under the bridge.

These guitars made it to my house today. The finish is fabulous.

Terry

He told me he keeps it at about .004.

WOW!!! eek That is a nice finish. I've been seeing more and more of his work around the forum and it all looks amazing. Whatever he charges is worth it. Does he have a site or anything? I'd like to see more of his work too.

I was able to put these guitars together and add strings. Joe's finish is wonderful. These guitars look so much better with his finish than what I could do.

Joe - Funny you should ask.
I had applied water based finish on these that Joe sanded off for me. I believe that they sound a bit brighter with your finish. Not a bunch, but brighter.
I wonder if the harder and thinner finish could have made a difference.
It is not a bad thing at all and very subtle.

I think it's highly possible that one finish could have a damping affect. The waterbase might just have done that a bit. In some cases that might be desirable too?
