Looked like a good way to enter into the Scary Sharp way of doing things. A few people have some less than good to say things about the honing guide that comes with it I noticed. I was looking at the Veritas as an alternative. Can someone guide me through on how to hone blades with a convex end like the Ibex or D'Angelico plane blades? |

I love the Mark II. Getting the correct angle was always a bit shaky for me. Repeating the angle was impossible. |
