I bought some fantastic sets from Don Williams in his recent sale. 3 of the sets were small size 5 sets. I've been busy finishing off 2 other guitars and building forms for this one. Chomping at the bit to get it going. The more that I work on it, the more I'm falling in love with this little beauty. Top is Western Red Cedar, back and sides is "Brain" Sapele. Bindings are Cheese Wood. A native of Australia. It's going to get an adjustable neck, hence the pocket for the fret board support tenon. |

Very nice. A finish is really going to pop that wood. This one will look great. |

Lookin good Alan, I'm wondering what's up with the cutout under the fb extension though. Do you have some sort of adjustable neck angle going? Please detail if you would. |

Yep, it's going to get an adjustable neck. At least that is the plan. This will be my first attempt at it, so crossing my fingers that it's all going to work out without a hitch. Adjustment will be a single cap head screw on the outside, for ease of adjustment, and also the sound hole is just a little small for easy access to the inside. |

Allen How did you brace this one. It is similar in size to one I am planning. Bob |

All braces are 1/4" x 1/2". One tone bar and one finger brace each side. Parabolic shape. The lower legs of the X-braces are thinned down to nothing about 1/8" before they meet the linings. Top is .110 and then perimeter thinned on the lower bout. The top still felt really stiff but had a nice ring to it, so that's when I stopped shaving wood. |
