One of the small body guitar plans out there has been noted to be overbraced. If the braces are cut from 5/16 to 1/4 should the height of the braces be reduced also. My first inclination is no but I would like to get some input from the forum. Thanks Mark |

Mark my friend yes reduce the brace width to 1/4" and make the height at the X-brace intersection no higher than 1/2" and your Antes OM, if that is what you are building, will come alive. Good luck. |

Thanks Hesh, This is actually an O-12. I have a plan for a parlor size and an OM and the tracing of an O-12 top from John at Blues Creek so I don't have exact details to go by. Much more fun that way. Mark |
