Years ago I started making a koa banjo case. I never finished the project. I'm wondering if anyone here would like to take it over ?? If so, you can have it for the cost of shipping.

Here's the scoop.... It is solid koa. The body is a bent lamination. It has a problem right now in that the lid has warped and does not fit right. Fixing it will probably involve removing and replacing the top panel (glued with Titebond). The body is in good shape.

It will also need hardware and a handle, a lid for the inside pocket, and obviously, it will need to be padded and lined to fit a banjo. It will probably also need refinishing.

For someone willing to put some time into it, this could be a really classy banjo case. I just don't have the time, or a banjo for that matter !

Inside dimensions are:

length 39 3/4"
width of round part 15 1/8"
width of neck part 4 3/4"
depth including lid 5 1/2"

Send me a private message or an email at mark@blanchardguitars.com if interested.

Thanks,
Mark

Well that's cool! And beautiful to boot.
Give that to Dave W., and he'd put strings on it.

It appears that the case has been claimed.

Thanks,
Mark
