Did any one see Gram Nash's duo of "Teach Your Children" on the American Idol finale. I tuned in just at the end. Wished I had tuned in earlier. I have performed that song and Judy Blue eyes suite so many time over the years.

But the reason I ask to stay on topic is I only got a quick peak at the box he was playing, and not a good peak at that but it apeared to have a Quilted Sapele top. I tried to google images of the performance but came up blank. So if you saw it was I seeing things or what?

Michael,
I saw the performance and it was really good. I noticed the figure on Graham's guitar and it was quilted mahogany. I think Martin did a Graham Nash signature series a few years ago with quilted HM top, back and sides.

Box? You mean guitar don't you? :D Joking!

I've avoided that program like the black death! Ryan Seacrest, Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell? There's all kinds of way this can go horribly, horribly wrong! But for the love of guitars... I clicked!

Graham can still sing pretty darn well, but it's almost impossible to make out the guitar.

It was a Martin Signature edition, 000-40Q2GN to be precise. Quilted mahogany all around.
