I know how you all (like me) just love some pics of a guitar with nice zoot, so I thought I'd post a few pics of my attempt at a 000 size. Here are some specs:

Adirondack top
Special highly figured mahogany
Handmade pyramid bridge
25.4 scale, 12 frets to body
Handmade neck per client's request
Tortise celluloid binding
Fine herringbone purfs
Abalone snowflake fb inlays, abalone peghead inlays and soundhole rosette
Waverly tuners
bone pins, saddle & nut
Greven pickguard
Abalone "M" on heel cap (Craig L how do you do this and not drive yourself nuttts?!?! gaah laughing6-hehe )

The figured hog is some awesome stuff...3-D after finishing. Sorry about the quality of the pics! My camera died again.

Thanks to everyone here who has given advice to others. I won't name you, because I'll leave somebody out. It's a great help. I've done several dreads already, but this was my first 000, but not my last! :D I just love the graceful curves. The pyramid bridge was especially fun to make, and this was also my first attempt at an abalone rosette, which I may do more of, now!

Thanks for looking; I just hate to not post pics of this wood!

WOW is right, nice looking guitar. I must give credit to ANYONE willing to make their own pyramid bridge .. I simply dont have the patience. Are the back and sides stained/tinted - they look super up against the tortoise.

Are you sure the back is mahogany .. sure looks like quilted sapele to me - I have never seen hawg that looks like that. The sides do look more like figured mahogany though.

Woops my bad! It is sapele...sorry bout that idunno

The only color on the guitar is the sunburst, everything else is its natural color.

Patience is right! I had to really scratch my head for a while before I took off with the sander, rat-tail rasp, chisels and rasps. It took a couple of hours, but it was something different. I had actually ordered a pyramid bridge from stewmac, but the pin hole spacing was too wide for the fb on this particular guitar, so instead of ordering another, I just thought I'd try to build one.

The pics really don't do the sides justice. Like Wally said, it looks like you could just reach into it. The sides bent really well, too, using a form and heating blanket. This was really a fun build.

Awesome looking axe. The colors are fantastic and that Sapele is mint!

I'm about to attempt a triple ought... I hope it can turn out half as nice!

Amazing depth to that Sapele, just amazing. Lovely work to look at, I bet it plays sweetly, too. Kudos.
