I just ordered a cart load of stuff from MCMaster, Reid, and Woodcraft. All of it showed up in 3 days (no special shipping). That is amazing to me! Same thing happens when I order from LMII.

That MCMaster site is intimidating but if you cannot find it there (hardware), you just aren't trying hard enough.

Cudos to great Internet shopping sites.

I have to agree with you Mike - all those vendors you list, and more, have been good to me!
I haven't had a bad experience with any of them yet. Bodes well for the lutherie industry.

The one thing that bugs me is that I have to pay tax on everything I order from LMI (cuz I'm in CA)!
I guess the onus is on me to get off my duff and form a "sole proprietorship" so I can get a CA sellers permit and then pass on paying the tax up front (since the items will be sold on - hopefully!).
