Well, I've lived in Asheville for two years, and have yet to get up the nerve, or feel worthy enough to make the ten minute drive north of town to one of the finest guitar shops in all the land -- Dream Guitars http://www.dreamguitars.com/index.htm

At any given time, one is likely to find Lowdens, Sheppards, McCollums, Olsons, and the occasional Somogyi. I was especially excited to see a couple of John How's parlour guitars on their site. They currently have Lance McCollum's Slope D prototype with "The Tree" back and sides -- http://www.dreamguitars.com/preowned/acoustic/McCollum_D_197.htm

I'm equally excited to see Al Pettiway and his partner Amy White perform there. Should be a great night. I'm going with my bandmate Steve, who is the proud owner of one of Ken Franklin's beauties.

I'm leaving my checkbook at home, lest I drain my son's college fund... bliss

So many guitars, so little money...

Paul's got a room full of pretty spectacular guitars in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Visiting his shop was quite an inspiring and humbling experience for me.

I was there a few weeks ago, it was lots of fun to test-drive the beautiful array of fantastic guitars, and Paul was a great host too......should be a nice concert, enjoy!
