Just want to let you know that the Montreal Guitar Show will present free workshop by great luthiers. A perfect place to meet amazing luthiers, ask them questions and learn about their work. Topics will include Ervin Somogyi: Handmade versus Factory-Made Tom Ribbecke: The modern archtop guitar William “Grit” Laskin: New Innovations in Acoustic Guitars and the Art of Inlays Jeff Traugott: A Builder’s Perspective on Finding Your Next "Best" Guitar Other major specialists will also be on hand, from various guitar-related disciplines, including Tim Brookes, author of the best-seller Guitar: An American Life, Jeff Doctorow, a major collector of luthier guitars, and Georges Gruhn, writer, collector and authority on the vintage guitar.
