Can anybody tell me what the measurments of the sides are on a J-200?

Width at the neck and width at the heel will be good if you have the info.

Thanks,
Ken

Hmm.. Interesting... The plans I have (from LMI) have the body depth as 3 7/8" at the neck and 4 3/4" at the end.

Cheers,
Chad

Thanks guys!

I have the idea that I am going to try where I take a J-200 body and make a bass guitar out of it wow7-eyes I've has this set of african satinwood since one of the swap meets a year or so ago and couldnt make up my mind what to do with it, so I'm going to give this a try. I have the pattern for it, but they didnt include the side depths.

I'm thinking if I keep it roughly the same size, I can find a case that will fit it?? That's what I am hoping, anyway. The neck may end up too long for a J-200 case, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

I dont know why I am even thinking about this, but somehow I just have to figure a way to fit it into my schedule..

Thanks again! You guys are GREAT!

Case wise what I have found Ken is that you can get a baritone of 29 inch scale, 14 fret joint to fit a std jumbo case - barely, 1/4 inch to spare with my headstock design .... partly the reason I only ever went that long on scale, didnt want the case hassle.

Thanks Tony!

I've been wanting to make a Baratone guitar anyway, so I'll see if it will work for me.
