James Orr wrote: Look at that gloss! Exactly and not only is the gloss superb Joe's process pops the natural beauty of the wood without adulterating the look of the finish or guitar in any way. His finishes are simply the best that I have ever seen! When you outsource your finishing it is a big event to get one back and for me it is not unlike Christmas morning and opening presents..... This makes Joe not unlike Santa (Billy bro did you read this....... ). Great looking guitar and another superb finish from master finisher Joe White! |

Although I don't post too often, I had to jump in and add my praise for Joe White. After doing too many nitro finishes myself, I enlisted Joe's services for 2 guitars initially. Not only was I thrilled with the pristine finishes on both of the guitars, I have also been blessed in meeting Joe and his wonderful family. I picked up a Brazilian Rosewood dread from Joe yesterday and am once again completely pleased. Joe is as much a craftsman as I could ask for. As compared to Nitro, Joe's process produces a finish that is significantly harder and less prone to scratching. I am also pleased with the pure translucence and color enhancement of the underlying surface. When I get the instruments back from Joe, I have only to bolt on the neck, glue on the bridge, mount the tuners and start stringing. It was initially difficult for me to trust another set of hands to work on my instruments but I have lately noticed spider webs forming on my compressor & spray guns. I'm really diging it.
