When one of the first sales events occurred on the forum, John Watkins sold a partially completed CNC Les Paul. I missed getting it by mere moments. If the person who bought it, ended up with it in a corner(a nice corner) of the shop and would sell, please contact me. Lots of things, not so good, going on in my life with health stuff( not-fatal) [headinwall] have changed my economic situation to about two thirds of usual annual income. I would like to have a good electric and can do some things well, but we all know that I have acknowledged that I cannot build top quality guitars- I can do top quality handtools- just can't seem to make them do what I want in the luthier world. My 1994 Taylor 700 series Dread and my Guild D40 are going on the block - hopefully I can keep my old D12-28. All of my luthier specialty tools and molds etc. are going as well-likely ebay, unless Powers That Be let me list here. So, if that "near enough to done that even Tobey can complete it " Les Paul is out there, please contact me. Not by choice I may have the opportunity to practice and learn "Chicago" electric blues(which I know is Delta, electrified) which has been a lifetime goal. The rest of my time will be making hand tools including hand forged chisels and wood planes. Thanks, Mike Tobey

Hi Mike,
I would suggest you list all your tools et.al at the http://www.LuthiersAuctions.com site.
Then come back and make a post letting everyone know.

Its quick, easy and you can chose to, auciton, sell or trade.

Mike,

Good to hear from you. Can't help you with the Les Paul. but I am sorry to hear about your health stuff. Your tool wisdom and dry humor will be missed.

Take care, and drop in once in awhile.

Pat

Hi Mike! I am sorry to hear that you have not been feeling well my friend...... You certainly are in my thoughts and I wish you the best going forward.

You know John Watkins just put his site back online a few days ago at http://www.cncguitarparts.com but I don't know if he is selling the LP kits anymore.

Let me know if there is anything that I can do to help you out?

Mike,
Sorry I can't help with the Les Paul, but do hope you feel better! Will you still be carrying that new formula of ubeat shellac?

Tracy- I found a very helpful broker and had all i's dotted and T's crossed. Sent Neil the things expected of him, most of which applied to other civilized countries as well. Pinged him several times. No response. Opening order was for 150 bottles- neither you nor I can truly assume that the stuff will fly off the shelves. My friend in Perth is going to rattle Neil's cage. His health (Neil's) has had some ups and downs too, but MY OZ Connections tell me he is going to shows. Ubeaut Hard is the number one selling finish in OZ- I am guessing that the extra hoops are not worth it to him. As you know, delayed response from Neil is routine. On the other hand I found him well-mannered so it is not consistent for him to blow a person off- he is a man who would decline kindly. Also, if this ever goes, I remember. Best regards, Mike(Frankly, I keep hoping I can get the deal done because of my present life situation)
